STONE SOUR To Film 'Through Glass' Video
May 3, 2006Joshua Rilying of StoneSourNews.com recently spoke to STONE SOUR guitarist Josh Rand regarding the status of the band's sophomore CD, "Come What(ever) May", due on August 22 via Roadrunner Records. According to Rilying, "The video for the song '30/30-150' was shot last week in [Los Angeles] using Paul Brown (MÖTLEY CRÜE, OTEP). STONE SOUR also did a 'long' (according to Rand) photo shoot last week. Photos are to be used for promo and CD. The 'Reborn' video everyone is seeing all over the Internet was a clip the band originally had made for themselves (among other video),as a documentary of sorts. The video turned out well and the band was very happy with it. So much, in fact, that they posted it on YouTube.com for the fans to see. Josh also eluded to the fact that its posting was done in part for the fans after it was determined the CD release date would be pushed back. . . The 'mix' on this video is not the final mix (for the CD). . Plans are to rehearse the next couple weeks, then shoot yet another video for the song 'Through Glass'. After that, the band will head to Europe to begin the festival dates toward the end of the month (May)."
"Come Whatever May" due was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Nick Rasculinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER) and marks the group's first effort since the departure of drummer Joel Ekman, who has since been replaced by ex-SOULFLY skinsman Roy Mayorga.
STONE SOUR's new album will follow up the group's 2002 self-titled debut, which went gold and featured the hit single, "Bother".
